Ingredients

  • 500 g dried broad beans
  • Half a cup of olive oil
  • 1 onion
  • 1.5 bunches of dill
  • juice of one lemon
  • 5~6 sprigs of parsley
  • Half a tsp of red pepper powder
  • Salt

Instructions

  1. First, soak the fava beans in plenty of water and leave them in a pot. The next day, wash them in plenty of water and drain them.
  2. Clean the onion you will use and finely chop it. Put the olive oil in a pan and heat it.
  3. Add the onion to the pan and fry until it turns pink. Add the broad beans to it. Add 3–4 cups of water and cook until the broad beans soften.
  4. After cleaning and chopping the dill, add it to the pan, stir, and remove the pan from the stove. Puree it with a food processor.
  5. Add the lemon juice, stir, and let it cool. You can garnish the fava with chopped parsley and red pepper. Bon appétit!
