Istanbul-Style Wet Burger

Ingredients

  • 4 burger buns

For the meatballs:

  • 350 g minced meat
  • 1 egg
  • 4~5 sprigs of parsley
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs

For the sauce:

  • 5 tomatoes
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 3 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • Salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Put the ingredients for the meatballs in a kneading bowl and start kneading. Pick large pieces and shape them into hamburger meatballs. Cook in a pan without oil.
  2. For the sauce, puree all ingredients except olive oil in a blender. Heat the olive oil in a pan. Add the tomato sauce and boil.
  3. Cut the burger buns in half and dip them into the cooked tomato sauce. Place the meatballs inside them.
  4. Put baking paper on the pan where you cook the meatballs by soaking it well. Place the hamburgers on the wet baking paper and cook for a few minutes with the lid closed until the buns are soft. Serve hot.
