Pumpkin Rice

Ingredients

  • 300 g pumpkin (diced)
  • 1 onion (chopped into small pieces)
  • 2 cups of basmati rice
  • 2 cups of cold water
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 4 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp turmeric

Instructions

  1. First of all, put the oil and butter in a large pot. Wait for them to melt over medium heat.
  2. Put the chopped onions into the oil and cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the diced pumpkins to it.
  4. Soak the rice in hot salted water, wash and drain it, then add it to the pumpkin.
  5. Mix the water and milk in a bowl. Add it to the mixture from the edge of the pot.
  6. Add salt, black pepper, and turmeric, and mix gently.
  7. Close the lid of the pot. Cook over medium heat until the water is absorbed.
  8. Let the cooked pilaf rest to infuse. Then you can serve it. Enjoy your meal.
