Peach Cobbler

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, and granulated sugar in a bowl and make a pool in the middle.
  2. Add the egg, cream, yogurt, and butter, and knead. Separate a lemon-sized piece from the dough. Butter the tart mold.
  3. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and place it into the tart mold. Wash the peaches with plenty of water and pat them dry.
  4. Then slice them thinly, but as apple slices, and place them in a row on the dough. Sprinkle two tablespoons of powdered sugar over the peaches.
  5. Roll out the reserved dough to half a centimeter thick with a rolling pin and cut one-centimeter strips. Place the dough on the peaches by making a lattice.
  6. Brush the tops with egg yolk and bake in a 180-degree oven for 45–50 minutes. When it starts to cool down, you can sprinkle powdered sugar again. Bon appetit!
Expert Tips
  • Make sure that the ingredients you will use are cold in order to get the consistency of the pie dough.
  • After preparing the pie dough, let it rest for 20 minutes if you have the time. If you wish, you can pass the dough through a food processor.
  • Make sure to use a mold to keep it firm and prevent the pie dough from breaking. Since the dough is oily, there is no need to apply oil to the tray you will bake it on.
