Ingredients

  • 1 kg of steak
  • ⅓ cup cornstarch
  • 2 teaspoons of oil
  • Half a teaspoon of minced ginger
  • 4 cloves of garlic, finely minced
  • Half a cup of soy sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • Half a cup of brown sugar
  • 2 sliced green onions

Instructions

  1. Cut the steaks into thin slices. Then mix well with the cornstarch, shake off the excess starch, and set aside.
  2. Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the minced ginger and garlic and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  3. Add the soy sauce, water, and brown sugar, and bring to a boil. Boil for 3–5 minutes and wait until it thickens slightly. Then transfer this mixture to a small bowl and set it aside.
  4. In another skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat. Cook the steak slices for about 2 minutes. They don't need to be fully cooked, just lightly browned.
  5. Put all the steaks you cooked and the sauce you prepared in the pan, blend well, and wait until the sauce boils and thickens with the steaks.
