Kashmiri Pulao

Ingredients

  • 1 cup basmati rice
  • Half a cup of vegetable oil
  • 2 green cardamom pods
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Half a cup of milk
  • 5 tbsp rose water
  • 1 pinch of saffron
  • 3 tsp salt
  • Tsp clove powder
  • Half a cup of slivered almonds
  • Half a cup of raisins
  • Half a cup of sliced pistachios
  • Tsp of cardamom powder
  • Kajun
  • Walnut
  • Almond

Instructions

  1. Wash the rice with plenty of water and drain it.
  2. Peel and crush the garlic.
  3. Heat the oil in a rice pot.
  4. Add the crushed garlic and cloves and fry for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Then add rice, rose water, saffron, milk, and salt and mix.
  6. Cook until the rice is soft.
  7. Roast the Cajuns, walnuts, and almonds and sprinkle them on the rice portioned into bowls.
  8. Serve hot.
