Ingredients

  • 500 grams of medium-fat minced meat
  • 2~3 green peppers
  • 1 small, grated onion

  • Salt
  • Cumin
  • Black Pepper

  • 1 egg
  • 3 slices of stale bread
  • 3 potatoes
  • Sunflower oil for frying

For the sauce:

  • 3 tomatoes
  • 2 teaspoons of tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • Salt
  • Red chili powder

Instructions

  1. For the meatballs, put the minced meat into a deep bowl. Add grated onion, breadcrumbs, egg, stale bread, finely chopped parsley, salt, and spices, and knead the mixture well.
  2. Pick pieces slightly bigger than a walnut from the meatball mixture and form oval meatballs. Fry them lightly in hot oil and transfer them to a paper towel.
  3. Peel the potatoes and cut them like apple slices. Season with salt and lightly fry them in hot oil.
  4. Transfer them to a paper towel. For the sauce, cut the tomatoes into apple slices and cook them with tomato paste in olive oil for 10 minutes without stirring.
  5. Add salt and chili powder, and season to taste. Remove the sauce from the stove. Place the meatballs and potatoes in a heat-resistant bowl.
  6. Pour the sauce over the potatoes and meatballs. Clean the seeds of the sharp peppers, chop them into large pieces, and add them.
  7. Bake in a preheated 200-degree oven for 15 minutes. Enjoy your meal!
