Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt

For the top:

  • You can decorate with any fruit you like. For example: honey, powdered sugar, and seasonal fruits.

Instructions

  1. Put the flour, sugar, salt, vanilla, and baking powder into a mixing bowl and stir well.
  2. As the butter will be used in liquid form, heat the butter in a small pot.
  3. Pour the melted butter into the bowl with the flour.
  4. Add milk and eggs to it and mix it in a way to avoid the formation of lumps.
  5. Grease the pan a little bit so that the mixture does not stick to the pan, and start cooking with the help of a ladle.
  6. When the pancakes start to turn golden brown, flip them over. Place the cooked pancakes on a serving plate.
  7. Slice the fruits you will put on top. We used nectarines, figs, and strawberries.
  8. After placing the fruits on the edge of the pancakes, drizzle honey and powdered sugar over them.
  9. Our breakfast pancakes are ready. Bon appetit!

Expert Tips
  • When cooking pancakes, they must be cooked in a hot pan over medium-low heat. It may not cook evenly over high heat. 
  • After pouring the pancake into the pan, if bubbles start to form on the surface, it means that the bottom of the pancake is cooked. You can flip them to the other side.
  • Yeast can also be used instead of baking powder in this pancake recipe.
  • The size of the pancake is completely up to your liking. You can serve small or large pancakes according to your preference.
  • You can use silicone molds with a hollow center so that the pancakes are the same size.
