Ingredients

  • 280 gr. flour
  • 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 220 g of margarine
  • 2 tablespoons of margarine
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 5 eggs, separated
  • 2 teaspoons of cocoa
  • 400 g sour cherries

For the cream:

  • 220 g of margarine
  • 2 tablespoons of margarine
  • 190 g powdered sugar
  • 2 egg yolks

For topping:

  • 200 g dark chocolate
  • 250 g cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line the baking dish with baking paper.
  2. Beat 220 grams plus 2 tablespoons of margarine in a bowl with the help of a mixer until it reaches the consistency of cream. Continue beating with sugar, vanilla, and 5 egg yolks.
  3. Combine the flour and baking powder in a bowl. Combine it with the oil mixture.
  4. Put the egg whites in a bowl and beat with a mixer until the egg whites turn into white foam.
  5. With the help of a spatula, take spoonfuls of the dough and gently combine the egg whites with the other mixture.
  6. Pour half of the dough into the prepared baking tray, add cocoa to the remaining part, and mix. Add the cocoa batter on top.
  7. Arrange the cherries on top.
  8. Bake for about 25–30 minutes. Then leave it to cool.
  9. For the cream, whisk 220 grams plus 2 tablespoons of margarine, sugar, and egg yolks. When it reaches the consistency of cream, spread it over the cold cake.
  10. Boil the cream over low heat; turn off the heat.
  11. Finely chop the chocolate, spread it in the cream, and wait for it to melt.
  12. Pour it over the cake after it has cooled down, and serve it after it has cooled completely. Bon appetit!
