  1. Cut the butter into cubes and set aside.
  2. Boil 500 ml of milk with the vanilla pod.
  3. Whisk the eggs, starch, and sugar in a bowl.
  4. Pour the boiling milk slowly with the help of a ladle and whisk.
  5. Pass it through a strainer into the pot and bring it to a boil.
  6. When it thickens, remove it from the pot and put it into a bowl.
  7. When it starts to cool down, add the butter cubes one by one while whisking.
