Dessert ingredients and fruits are usually used in the filling. Strudel, also known as pie, consists of layers and is presented as a roll. You can flavor strudel, which is very common in Central European cuisines, with nuts such as almonds and walnuts.   1. Put the flour, oil, salt, and water in a bowl and knead well. Roll it into a meringue on a lightly floured bench and leave it to rest for 30 minutes. 
  2. For the filling, cut the apples into cubes and mix them with the other ingredients, except the panko and almonds.
  3. Then put them in a pan and sauté over medium heat for 5 minutes until the apples release their juice. Remove from the stove and leave to cool. 
  4. For the panko, separate the outer crust of the bread slices and pass the inside through a food processor. Put them on a baking tray and keep them in the oven preheated at 150 degrees for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Then turn it over by stirring and let it stand for 2-3 minutes again. Remove from the oven and leave to cool. 
  6. After the filling cools down, add the almonds and panko by mixing and leave to rest for 15 minutes. 
  7. Place the rested dough on an oiled countertop and roll it into a very thin, transparent dough with the help of a rolling pin.
  8. Spread the filling on half of the rolled-out dough and wrap it into a roll.
  9. Bake in a preheated 180-degree oven for about 35–40 minutes. Remove from the oven when the top is well-fried, and serve warm. Bon appetit!
